South America uses multiple electrical conventions

South American installations can use 220/230V single-phase, 380/400V three-phase and other local arrangements depending on country and utility. DIN-rail MCBs are common in IEC-oriented equipment, but regional approvals and distribution-board compatibility must still be verified.

Functional counterpart is not panel interchangeability

An IEC 20A DIN breaker can be functionally comparable to a 20A branch breaker while being mechanically and legally unsuitable for a US-style load center. FindBreaker keeps these relationships separate.

Professional review required

Reference content and catalog data support research. Final breaker or fuse selection must be checked against the exact equipment label, manufacturer instructions, listing or classification conditions, fault-current requirements, coordination, and applicable code.
