Classified Replacement Circuit Breakers

Classified is not the same as universal
Some breaker manufacturers publish classified replacement lines evaluated for use in specifically identified competing equipment. Eaton Type CL is one example. The classification applies only to the combinations identified by the classification documentation.
Panel-manufacturer positions may differ
Panel manufacturers can state that their equipment is intended for breakers carrying their own specified markings.
